In collaboration with Prof. Dr. Pieter Annaert of the KULeuven BelTox is organizing a course on physiologically-based pharmacokinetic modelling (PBPK). This course is planned to take place on 13th May 2022 in room Pentalfa at the Gasthuisberg campus of the KULeuven and will take the form of an hybrid course.

A maximum of 20 people will be allowed to attend the course live for the whole day whereas up to 50 people can participate in the morning session via a video link. The morning session will consist of 3 lectures of 45 minutes each with 15 minutes discussion:
“General introduction to PBPK” by Prof. Pieter Annaert (KULeuven), “Perspective on PBPK from the regulatory point of view” by Prof. Dr. Flora Musuamba Tshinanu (University of Namur, Vice-Chair EMA Modelling and Simulation Working Party, member of the EMA Scientific Advice Working Party),and “Perspective on PBPK from the industrial point of view” by Dr. An Vermeulen (Janssen R&D).

For the participants attending live there will be a hands-on training in the afternoon using PK-Sim (open-source platform) with assistance of 3 PhD researchers from the team of Prof. Annaert. The afternoon session will take 4 hours divided into 3 separate sections.

The registration fee for attendance of a full day live at the KULeuven (with catering) is 360 € for BelTox members and 460 € for non-members. Attendance of the webinar in the morning via video link is 30 € for BelTox members and 70 € for non-members.
