The Faculty of Public Health at the University of Louvain and the Belgian Society of Toxicology and Ecotoxicology co-organize a new training programme in “Occupational Toxicology”.

 

Your profile :

Medical doctor, Pharmacist, Veterinarian, Biologist, Chemist, Bioengineer, an individual active in product safety in industry, regulatory agencies, international organisations, poison control center, consulting, NGO’s or working in the industry

You are seeking to acquire theoretical and applied knowledge on the effects of chemicals on human health.

The programme of this module is based in the following objectives:

  • Be able to interpret the results of occupational exposure assessments within the context of safety assessment
  • Understand signs and symptoms of important occupational diseases caused by chemicals
  • Be able to use clinical and laboratory findings in the management of occupational exposures
  • Be able to provide toxicological input into occupational safety assessments

The programme is in line with the EUROTOX guidelines for training in toxicology and can serve as a basis for recognition as a European Registered Toxicologist (ERT).

 

All courses are given in English.

Classes will be held online via Teams.
