21 November 2019: BelTox Annual Scientific Meeting 2019

The next annual meeting of BelTox will be organized as a joint event together with IC3Rs and INVITROM, and will take place on 21 November 2019 at the Life Sciences campus of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Jette-Brussels.

The meeting will be centered around tools for 3Rs testing. The morning session will be focused on strategies as well as in vitro and in silico methodologies for human toxicology and risk assessment. The afternoon session will cover 3R approaches in ecotoxicology and the use of artificial intelligence in risk assessment.

As a tradition in the BelTox annual meetings, there will be a poster viewing session and a young scientist oral presentation session. In fact, the organizers particularly encourage young scientists at doctoral and postdoctoral level to submit abstracts, although all attendees are of course welcome to do so.

The meeting will be followed upon on 22 November by a complimentary workshop for young scientists that will focus on designing a research project according to the 3Rs principles.

More details will follow.
